Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 9 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Asheville is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Definitely need to manage the trash better people should really clean up behind themselves

Well-kept, well-run facility. Good Har-Tru courts, friendly helpful folks. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that there are virtually no shade structures other than a couple of umbrellas. That can be a little rough in the summer

Countless tennis players and parents dropping off their kids for practice unnecessarily speed through the parking lot - upwards of 35+ mph. 1 star rating due to the lack of accountability held toward those tennis members. It unfortunately will take someone getting hurt before anything is done.

My son touched his first broken glass here! Precious memories πŸ’–

A great central location including a parking lot and essential amenities. The clay courts are constantly cared for and consistently covered with current players and their enthusiastic play may be enough to prove how great the courts truly are.
